Proposed Rules (October 15, 2009)
 

Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to the authority contained in Official Code of Georgia Title 20, it is proposed that the Professional Standards Commission initiate rulemaking procedures in accordance with Georgia Administrative Procedures Act so as to provide for (1) repealing the current rules in Chapter 505-2 Certification, effective January 15, 2010, as follows: 505-2-.155 and 505-2-.156; (2) initiating the current rules in Chapter 505-2 Certification, effective January 15, 2010, as follows: 505-2-.155 and 505-2-.156; (3) amending the current rules in Chapter 505-2 Certification, effective January 15, 2010, as follows: 505-2-.02, 505-2-.12 and 505-2-.150; (4) repealing the current rules in Chapter 505-3 Educator Preparation, effective January 15, 2010, as follows: 505-3-.68 and 505-3-.69; and (5) initiating the current rules in Chapter 505-3 Educator Preparation, effective January 15, 2010, as follows: 505-3-.68 and 505-3-.69.

The Professional Standards Commission will consider the proposed rules during its regular meeting on December 10, 2009, to begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Professional Standards Commission Board Room, 5th Floor, Two Peachtree Street, Atlanta, GA 30303.

All interested persons shall be afforded reasonable opportunity to submit data, views, or arguments orally or in writing. Anyone interested in making a written statement may do so by submitting it to the undersigned at Two Peachtree Street, Suite 6000, Atlanta, GA 30303. It is requested that such a statement be delivered on or before November 15, 2009. Opportunity for oral hearing shall be granted if requested by 25 persons who will be directly affected by the proposed rule, by a governmental subdivision, or by an association having not less than 25 members.

Proposed Rules (June 19, 2009)
 

Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to the authority contained in Official Code of Georgia Title 20, it is proposed that the Professional Standards Commission initiate rulemaking procedures in accordance with Georgia Administrative Procedures Act so as to provide for (1) amending the current rules in Chapter 505-2 Certification, effective October 15, 2009, as follows: 505-2-.15; and (2) amending new rules for Chapter 505-2 Educator Ethics, effective October 15, 2009, as follows: 505-6-.01.

The Professional Standards Commission will consider the proposed rules during its regular meeting on September 15, 2009, to begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Professional Standards Commission Board Room, 5th Floor, Two Peachtree Street, Atlanta, GA 30303.

All interested persons shall be afforded reasonable opportunity to submit data, views, or arguments orally or in writing.
