Rulemaking Public Notice
Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to the authority contained in Official Code of Georgia Title 20, it is proposed that the Professional Standards Commission initiate rulemaking procedures in accordance with Georgia Administrative Procedures Act so as to provide for (1) amending the current rules in Chapter 505-2- Certification, effective January 1, 2022, as follows: 505-2-.90, and 505-2-.173; (2) amending the current rule in Chapter 505-3- Educator Preparation Rules, effective January 1, 2022, as follows: 505-3-.01; and (3) amending the current rule in Chapter 505-6- Professional Practices, effective January 1, 2022, as follows: 505-6-.01.
Instructions For Submitting Comments
All interested persons shall be afforded reasonable opportunity to submit data, views, or arguments orally or in writing. Anyone interested in making a written statement may do so by submitting it to RulesComments@GaPSC.com or mail to Rules Comments, Georgia Professional Standards Commission, 200 Piedmont Avenue, SE, Suite 1716, Atlanta, Georgia 30334-9032. It is requested that such a statement be delivered on or before November 27, 2021. Opportunity for oral hearing shall be granted if requested by 25 persons who will be directly affected by the proposed rule, by a governmental subdivision, or by an association having not less than 25 members.

The Professional Standards Commission will consider the proposed rules during its regular meeting on December 9, 2021, currently scheduled to be held virtually and in-person at approximately 10:00 a.m. in the GaPSC Conference Room, West Tower, 17th Floor, located at 200 Piedmont Avenue, Atlanta, Georgia 30334-9032.
