HB 455 GUIDELINES - Prepared jointly by GaPSC and GaDOE.
HB 455, signed into law by the Governor, addresses the state salary increases paid on advanced degrees in leadership for individuals not assigned to leadership positions. July 1, 2010 is the cut-off date for “grandfathering” as established by the law.
To facilitate implementation of the new law, attached are the HB 455 GUIDELINES, jointly prepared by GaPSC and GaDOE. These guidelines were prepared in consultation with a group of superintendents, HR directors, higher education representatives and other state-level educational leaders.
Both GaPSC and GaDOE will be implementing a number of changes to appropriate Rules over the next few months.
