Preparation - Set Up Exhibit Room and Work Spaces

The exhibit room is the centralized location in which the unit organizes and displays documents and other types of evidence that demonstrate the unit is meeting or has the potential to meet standards. This evidence should include items that will be used by the unit and its programs to assess the proficiencies of the candidates and the effectiveness of the unit.
All evidence in the exhibit room should be clearly labeled. It may labeled or color-coded by standards when appropriate. BOE teams find it helpful to have a list in the exhibit room of all the evidence available for review. If evidence is located somewhere other than the exhibit room, the list should indicate where to find it.
Although the BOE review team may not schedule formal meetings until Sunday afternoon, many team members arrive on Saturday to take advantage of reduced airfares or because of long driving distances. In these cases, team members like to have access to the exhibit rooms beginning Sunday morning or perhaps even on Saturday afternoon. The on-site visit coordinator on campus should make such arrangements.
