Rulemaking Public Notice
Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to the authority contained in Official Code of Georgia Title 20, it is proposed that the Professional Standards Commission initiate rulemaking procedures in accordance with Georgia Administrative Procedures Act so as to provide for 1) amending the current rules in Chapter 505-2- Certification, effective October 15, 2016, as follows: 505-2-.08, 505-2-.10, 505-2-.13, 505-2-.26, 505-2-.32, 505-2-.43, 505-2-.44, 505-2-.87, 505-2-.89, 505-2-.90, and 505-2-.153; (2) repealing the current rules in Chapter 505-3- Educator Preparation, effective October 15, 2016, as follows: 505-3-.01, 505-3-.05, 505-3-.44, 505-3-.45, and 505-3-.46; (3) initiating the current rules in Chapter 505-3- Educator Preparation, effective October 15, 2016, as follows: 505-3-.01, 505-3-.05, 505-3-.44, 505-3-.45, 505-3-.46, 505-3-.94, and 505-3-.107; and (4) amending the current rules in Chapter 505-3- Educator Preparation, effective October 15, 2016, as follows: 505-3-.50.
Instructions For Submitting Comments
All interested persons shall be afforded reasonable opportunity to submit data, views, or arguments orally or in writing. Anyone interested in making a written statement may do so by submitting it to RulesComments@GaPSC.com or mail to the undersigned, Kelly Henson, at 200 Piedmont Avenue, Suite 1702, Atlanta, Georgia 30334-9032. It is requested that such a statement be delivered on or before August 24, 2016. Opportunity for oral hearing shall be granted if requested by 25 persons who will be directly affected by the proposed rule, by a governmental subdivision, or by an association having not less than 25 members.
The Professional Standards Commission will consider the proposed rules during its regular meeting on September 8, 2016, to begin at approximately 12:30 p.m. at the Professional Standards Commission Board Room, 4th Floor, 200 Piedmont Avenue, Atlanta, Georgia 30334-9032.
