Georgia Education Community

Georgia is the 9th largest state in population and the third fastest-growing state in the country. Our need for qualified educators reflects that growth. More than 139,000 certified educators are employed in 180 public school districts to serve 1.6 million students.

The 180 public school districts are grouped under 16 Regional Education Service Areas (RESAs) which provide comprehensive support and services to their member school systems.
