1-YEAR SUPERVISED PRACTICUM

The 1-year supervised practicum is a critical pedagogical component of the PSC test-based certification option, as well as an option for individuals who have completed all the requirements in a preparation program except student teaching. Beginning teachers in this program will work under the guidance and supervision of a qualified mentor and program supervisor.

The supervised practicum may only be administered by public or independent school systems, RESAs and colleges that are approved specifically for the practicum by the PSC.

A listing of PSC-approved, 1-year supervised practicum programs is available on the PSC web site at www.gapsc.com.

An Application Package for organizations seeking approval as a Program Provider for the 1-year supervised practicum is available on the PSC web site at www.gapsc.com.
