- Southern Association of Colleges and Schools
The Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools is the recognized regional accrediting body in the eleven U.S. Southern states (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia) and in Latin America for those institutions of higher education that award associate, baccalaureate, master's or doctoral degrees. The Commission on Colleges is the representative body of the College Delegate Assembly and is charged with carrying out the accreditation process.

The University System of Georgia's Board of Regents was created in 1931 as a part of a reorganization of Georgia's state government. With this act, public higher education in Georgia was unified for the first time under a single governing and management authority. The Board oversees 34 institutions: four research universities, 2 regional universities, 13 state universities, 2 state colleges, and 13 two-year colleges.

The American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) is a Washington-based higher education association of more than 400 public colleges and universities and systems across the United States and in Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands. AASCU promotes broad understanding of public higher education's essential role in society, and is the advocate and guardian for public higher education policy issues at the national, state and campus levels.
- The Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC)
The Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC) is a federally funded, nationwide information network designed to provide you with ready access to education literature. It is a program of the National Library of Education, U.S. Department of Education. At the heart of ERIC is the largest database in the world--containing more than 950,000 records of journal articles, research reports, curriculum and teaching guides, conference papers, and books. Each year aproximately 33,000 new records are added. The ERIC database is available in many formats at hundreds of locations.

- National Staff Development Council (NSDC)
NSDC is the National Staff Development Council. It is a national non-profit association of about 8,000 educators. NSDC is deeply committed to ensuring success for all students by applying high standards for professional development for everyone who affects student learning. The Council views high-quality staff development programs as essential to creating schools in which all students and staff members are learners who continually improve their performance.

The Georgia Association of Educational Leaders provides unity of educational leadership groups in Georgia. It is a statewide membership organization of educational leaders and provides the following services, among others: Unified Voice for Educational Leaders on Issues of Common Interest: GAEL provides opportunities for members to discuss and address common problems, to share information and ideas, and to meet with other educational leaders from across the state. The Association provides a voice for educational leaders before other professional associations, the legislature, state board, other governmental leaders, the media, and other groups and organizations.
