NCLB Goal
The Title II - Part A grants are provided to schools and school
systems as a means of addressing the challenges related to teacher
quality including, but not limited to reducing class size, recruiting,
hiring and retaining "highly qualified" teachers. The
ultimate goal of the No Child Left Behind legislation is
to increase student achievement by ensuring that all teachers who
instruct in a core academic subject are "highly qualified."
Title II-A Consultants
A group of veteran educators has been assembled to assist schools
and school systems with the challenges of the No
Child Left Behind legislation by providing technical
assistance and consultation services. Consultants are available
to provide needed information and clarify questions related to teacher
quality issues, assist with identifying available resources, and
conduct or facilitate meetings or training sessions.
