Effective March 15, 2004, Georgia implemented the newest alternative route to
certification. This new alternative route to initial certification requires a
degree or closely related degree in the field, and a one-year supervised
practicum (internship) that must be initiated within the first year of
certification. Documentation of completion of these requirements must be
submitted to PSC. Individuals who are successful will be granted a Clear
Renewable certificate. Individuals who are not successful will no longer be
certified, but might seek certification by pursuing other routes.
To be eligible for a Clear Renewable certificate, test-based option candidates
must successfully complete the following:
-
PSC-required basic skills test, GACE® Basic Skills Assessment
