Teacher Certification Section - Vocational Certificates

Certification in vocation fields allows individuals from specific areas of industry, business, or health to enter the teaching profession based on occupational experience in the field and the minimum education level required for the field. Certification in these fields requires that the applicant has full-time occupational experience in the requested field of certification.

Vocational fields fall under the areas of Healthcare Science Technology Education (Registered Nurse, Radiological Technologist, Laboratory Technologist, Dental Hygienist, Physical Therapist, Respiratory Therapist, Emergency Medical Technician), and Trade and Industrial Education (Automotive Service Technology, Aviation, Broadcast and Video Production, Collision Art Technology, Construction, Cosmetology, Electronic Technology, Engineering Drawing and Design, Granite Technology, Graphic Communication, Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR), Information Technology, Manufacturing and Engineering Sciences, Precision Machine Technology, Culinary Arts, Public Safety, Sheet Metal, Telecommunications, Welding Technology)
